Laura McFadden

I started dancing at the age of four. I trained in many styles and competed up to the highest level. At sixteen I gained a place at The Theatre School of Dance and T Drama in Edinburgh. After my first year I transferred to Telford College where I gained a HND in Professional Stage Dance. I started on a BA (hons) course but during this was offered my first professional job in panto at The Kings Theatre, Glasgow with Elaine C Smith. I also appeared with Elaine in Guys and Dolls at the Lyceum Theatre, Edinburgh. While at college I began teaching one class a week, this grew into many and was the start of what is now The Dance Studio.

Choreography credits outwith The Dance Studio include Chess, Limelight Productions, Alhambra E Theatre and Back to the 80s, Gama Youth Rothes Hall, Cinderella@The Alhambra. I’m now also part of a dance troupe Hustle who have performed many places over the last five years including Edinburgh Fringe Festival, T in the Park, Hearts football, Radio 1 Cabaret, The Culture Show (BBC 2) and Dundas Castle. The future is looking good for Hustle with lots of up and coming gigs. In November 2014 I decided to extend my qualifications and attended a Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training. I also completed Metafit and TRX courses. The addition of our New fitness classes have A enhanced our studio programme giving a wider range of choice. I was also chosen to dance at the Opening Ceremony at the Olympic Games.
